Love Tra$e: Mixing Music and Manga from Oklahoma City
Oklahoma City rapper Love Tra$e entered the music industry in a unique way. He started his path after being inspired to pick up a microphone by a close friend who was well-known for making diss tracks directed at local up-and-coming artists. But in order to commemorate his legacy, Love Tra$e made the decision to take music seriously after that friend passed away. He remarks, "I never looked back," considering how the loss helped him go on.
Love Tra$e says his music is influenced by well-known artists like Drake and D Savage. His confidence drives his work, and he's always trying to improve his sound and expand his fan base. Building a devoted fan base, increasing his streaming numbers, and eventually starting his own record company are his current objectives.
However, not only does he make music, Love Tra$e told me he’s been planning on creating his own manga. He says, "I've been working on my own manga," which he intends to publish this summer. It's a daring move that demonstrates his versatility as an artist and his desire to engage with audiences on several levels.
Music is only the beginning for Love Tra$e. His will to create and inspire is evident whether he is working in the studio or developing plots for his comics.
