VKM NXPPY: The Artist Bringing Hope Through Music

From the small town of Rincon, Georgia, VKM NXPPY has become a strong voice for people who feel ignored and excluded. His cousin's aspirations to become a rapper and the difficulties they encountered together served as the catalyst for his very personal musical journey. NXPPY used music as a means of overcoming hardship and establishing a platform for those similar to himself after his relative was imprisoned.

VKM NXPPY's music captures a wide range of emotions by fusing melodic undertones with gritty rap, reflecting the weight of his life experiences. Inspired by the late XXXTENTACION and YNW Melly, NXPPY uses their talent for establishing a personal connection with fans to create songs that speak to people going through difficult times. "I want to be an outlet for people to know they have someone who relates and will do anything to make sure they’re not alone," he says.

For the artist, 2024 has already been a year of transformation. He gained a fresh outlook on life and his artistic abilities after surviving a near-fatal vehicle accident shortly before New Year's Eve. He compares himself to Aang from Avatar: The Last Airbender by symbolically shaving his dreadlocks, which shows how he has changed over time. NXPPY states, "I’ve gained a new outlook on life that I never imagined I would have," adding that his music changes as he grows as a person.

NXPPY, a prolific artist, intends to release five albums this year, each of which will highlight significant events in his life since 2020. His career has been greatly influenced by his collaboration with his brother, VKM CHXPPA. The pair hopes to take their sound to major events like Rolling Loud, having begun their musical adventure on sites like Rapchat and BandLab.

Music is more than just art to VKM NXPPY; it's a mission. As he continues to do through his music, he hopes to encourage others to keep battling the darkness in their lives. NXPPY is poised to leave a lasting impression with his aspirational goals for 2024 and beyond, promoting optimism and fortitude one song at a time.
