The Mxrsh Interview
Mxrsh: Crafting a Universe of Sound and Solace
Introducing Mxrsh, a versatile musician who creates art that speaks to the heart by fusing sound, images, and narrative. Mxrsh's passion for anime, 3D animation, and cover art serve as inspiration for his hyperpop songs, with sporadic forays into underground rap. His desire to push musical limits and forge his own path in the hyperpop realm is fueled by his influences, which include Future, Brakence, Amehix, and Lucy Bedroque.
As a member of the underground collective "4aranoia," which also consists of artists like baptisze, sinveyo, and luvmxzii, Mxrsh thrives in a supportive creative atmosphere. His experience with music started out as a joke but soon developed into a profoundly healing outlet that helped him manage his anxiety and OCD. Through his music, he creates an environment where being vulnerable is accepted and appreciated while sharing honest, intimate thoughts on mental health and life's challenges.
A pivotal moment in Mxrsh's journey occurred when he received an angel trinket from a patient at the hospital where he works. "SAFESEER," an alter persona that represents coziness, security, and artistic freedom, was inspired by this trinket. SAFESEER is a representation of Mxrsh's goal to make music that brings comfort by luring listeners into a soundscape where they can feel understood and at ease.
Mxrsh aims to create an immersive universe that combines visual and aural components to deliver compelling stories, with a vision that goes beyond music. His ultimate objective is to encourage a specialized audience to value mental health, appreciate individualism, and find solace in his artwork. One thing is evident as Mxrsh keeps growing his universe: he is not only making music, but an experience.
