The Saevus Interview
Saevus: Experimenting with Sound and Self-Discovery
Hailing from Philadelphia, PA, rising artist Saevus is on a journey of self-discovery through music. For him, music isn’t just about the end product—it’s about the creative process, the raw emotion, and the endless experimentation that comes with it. “I treat music like a science,” he says, viewing each track as an experiment, constantly testing and refining his sound until it aligns with his vision.
In addition to creating music for himself, Saevus is starting to understand that his music also communicates to people who, like him, are struggling with their own inner demons. His music is an eclectic blend of inspirations that reflect his constantly changing artistic identity, drawing inspiration from a wide spectrum of artists such as Lil Uzi, Tovi, Sahbabii, Steve Lacy, Q, Pharrell, and Lil Wayne.
Saevus acknowledges that maintaining consistency has been difficult despite his intense love for creating. "I get super fed up in the process of creation that I don’t often put out the amount of music I would like to," he says. But in 2025, his priorities change as he makes a commitment to developing his brand and putting out more music on a regular basis.
Fans can expect a wave of new releases this year, including his upcoming EP, "Reach N’ Trip," which promises to showcase his continued growth and experimental sound. With a few surprises in store and a newfound dedication to consistency, Saevus is ready to share more of his art with the world.
Keep up with Saevus as he navigates the ever-evolving landscape of music, one experiment at a time.
