The Staggy Interview
Staggy is a 20 year old genre-fluid vocalist from the small town of Canton, Connecticut. First officially releasing music under the name in 2017, Staggy is currently known for songs like “six in the morning” (2022) “run my fade” (2023) & “HOW CAN I LOSE?” (2024). Originally gaining notoriety in a more modern digital sound, Staggy cites inspirations such as Lil Peep, Chief Keef, Lil Wayne, Amy Winehouse, & Juice WRLD.
Staggy began his musical journey long before adopting the persona however, as early on he recalls watching rap music videos with his father as early as 2011 and making his own lyrics to his favorite songs. This would continue for years until March 18th, 2017 while Staggy was in just 7th grade recording and releasing his first Hip-Hop single under the name with his high school entourage & beginning a long journey to where you see him now.
As we enter 2025 Staggy has already released 2 singles produced by Plxce called “charlie” & “tatiyana*” and is now gearing up to drop his album “DRIVE SAFE” in late February. As those in the New York City/ New England scene may already know, Staggy is a very animated and energetic performer and is looking to take over more than just the East Coast scene throughout the rest of this year and will be performing in a city near you!
