Stizz: A Rising Talent Turning Heads in the Underground Scene
What began as a joke quickly evolved into a passion for Stizz. After talking to his friend SADDVA in late 2022, Stizz made the decision to try his hand at music. In September of that year, he released his first single, "SWERVIN," and it quickly became popular, with both locals and other artists enjoying his sound. He then committed himself to perfecting his craft, which paid off in July 2023 when he posted his debut project, MV.
Stizz returned stronger than ever after a brief break for Navy boot camp, releasing his second project, MY TIME, in October 2023. When he joined with fellow musician ¿Lyyjah? from TikTok, his path took an interesting turn. Stizz's sound gained a new edge thanks to their collaboration, which improved his flow and elevated his music-making process.
Prior to the group's eventual breakup, Stizz gained significant recognition by joining the collective SBC in January 2024. With his unwavering work ethic, Stizz had already started to make waves by then, releasing an impressive total of 300 tracks on SoundCloud in just two years. He gained a significant fan following and got live performance opportunities as a result of his perseverance and hard work. His first performance in February 2024 helped establish his reputation in the underground community and exposed his music to even more people.
When Stizz reached out for promo from me in April 2024, he says it was a turning point for him. Our collab got a lot of attention and helped get Stizz’s name out there more in my community. He made a great comeback in October 2024 as well with the release of the single "U TRIED & DIED," following a brief break in May.
Stizz incorporates aspects from artists such as Yeat, Lil Uzi Vert, Duwap Kaine, and Jace in order to make his own distinct sound. Stizz told me that his true intention is to influence and uplift, which is a great reason to get into music. Stizz states, "I want to be that role model that people can look up to and learn from my music."
With plans to deliver a new project in January 2025, Stizz shows no signs of slowing down. His journey from dropping casual tracks to being a recognized name in the underground community illustrates that with passion and persistence, anything is achievable.
